I lost a client because of this.  BT will not allow premium numbers to 
be called from outside the UK.  I even tried it from an ITSP in the 
Netherlands, and the call didn't go through :-(

The AT&T monopoly is gone.  Hopefully, BT's time will come--the sooner 
the better.
