You and me both Brian...
I've found MySQL to be fast, reliable, and once you have the replication 
set up, talk about reliable!!!

I haven't used Postgress since 1998, and ummmmm...  I'm not going back...

There's an old phrase of wisdom that describes his opinion...  "The farmer 
won't eat what he doesn't know."

You'll notice the same irrational reaction coming from Windoze DeeVelopers 
when asked to use an Oracle Database running on a Unix system.  All of a 
sudden you hear comments about how it's not going to be "compatible" 
etc...  A good indicator of a conditioned response programmer is a comment 
like, "Why don't we just use Microsoft Access." or (oooh this one just 
gives me the willies) "why not use ODBC for connectivity to the database?"

Either way, this philosophical discussion regarding which is better belongs 
on a list involving discussion about SQL servers, and not about FINE VOIP 
applications such as this wonderful asterisk open source PBX we have all 
come to know and love.
