[Asterisk-Users] agents and queues

Julian,

I too am using static agent entries in the queues.conf file.

So, what are the options? Dynamically add the agents via AddQueueMember?
Will this solve my original problem of callers visiting empty queues?

Can anyone provide a snippet of code from their extensions.conf file in
which it shows the agents being dynamically added/removed from the queues,
as well as the +101 jump to voice mail?

If this works, it would provide a better alternative that what I was working
on, which is to use the manager CLI to determine if there are agents. Then
put an IF in the dialplan to check for agents before taking them to the
queue.

Thanks in advance,

Marco

I can confirm that if you have a member added in the queues.conf file, then
the queue command does return as if there is a member. Removing the static
definition makes the q command return properly.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to hold true in our situation.
This method only worked for me when I did not define any members
in queues.conf, and added any members with AddQueueMember.
However when I add queue members with Member => Agent/101 in
queues.conf the Queue command always returns as if there were a
member.

This is only my experience, and you could be correct.
