That's no excuse. I find some of the best documentation is written by
people who originally had no idea. If you document as you learn, then
you can flesh those ideas into a nice layout. Once that is done, you
can expand upon those ideas as you learn more about the system or
component you are working on.
At least that seems to work for me.

You'll want to join the asterisk-doc mailing list
(http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=support). All documentation
for submission can be posted there so that the documentation community
can help you out. If you don't know DocBook (the preferred format for
writing) we are willing to help. If you don't have time to learn a
new format (or no desire to since you're spending all that extra time
writing docs :)) we're willing to convert it for you.
