[Asterisk-Users] Digits entered ARE NOT RECOGNIZED by bank's IVR's

The same exact thing happens to me. For me, it is because the calls are going 
out via Confer and that has problems sending DTMF tones. I'd recheck the 
route that you sending calls out to.
