The lumenvox stuff is pretty good

I don't think speech recognition is usually very simple as its all a matter of confidence/degree of trust you have recognised things correctly.
But it will work well enough for what you want - i.e. tell if someone said something - your issue might be background noise sounding like a voice therefore something like "yes" (or similar) might be a bit easier to focus on
