If you are sure you have a R2 link in the PABX, you must have another device
before the PABX itself to make the use of BRI device possible.

So, I think you have some kind of De-muxer to take the 4 timeslots of the E1
circuit (as of you telco side).

And can't be connected to R2 link's too. So, by the way you described you
scenario, it's not working (as you described to us).

If you have a ISDN device, you do for sure.
