A. Asterisk has a thing called "manager interface", accessible through
TCP port 5038.

B. There are other ways to remotely access a Linux machine. ssh is one
of them.

C. This is not a question for the -dev list. Please follow-up on the
asterisk-users mailing list. It is also advised that you better what you
need to do and what you need to watch for.
