This is off-topic for -dev, but my experiences may be useful for 
developers to know, so I'll reply here.

I have repeatedly complained to Vitelity that they do not seem to be 
able to reliably pass DTMF out through their PSTN connections.  Every 
once in a while it works, but the usual case is that I cannot use DTMF 
on calls terminated by Vitelity.

I use IAX, which IMO pretty much pins the blame on them; for whatever 
reason their gateways do not reliably convert the out-of-band DTMF 
messages onto their outbound circuits.

Perhaps you're a bigger customer and they will actually react to your 
complaints.  Mine all get ignored.
