Host DSP is *hard science*. As in, you just can't hack it up in a day, you 
need people who understand DSPs. And so far, I've met only one person who 
actually does, coppice ;) So licensing cost has to reflect many man-years 
involved in development...

Keep in mind that Intel is pushing it because of Dialogic business (that 
is owned by Intel now)

It might be very interesting to integrate HMP into asterisk via
chan_woomera (to circumvent licensing issues of direct linkage).
