[Asterisk-Dev] Wildcard TDM400P dies every few weeks...cause?

Hello,

We have a 4 port TDM400P (2FXO, 2FXS) in our small office
asterisk server running 1.0 stable on Redhat 9. Two
channels are on phone lines, the other two on analog
phones.

About once every couple weeks, either the phones connected
to this card die (get static, but no dialtone when we lift
the receiver), or the connections to the telco lines from
this card die (they no longer detect ringing, or answer
and out bound calls to the PSTN are noise and static
only).

Except for the above, asterisk is fine, and doesn't (as
far as I can see) report anything unusual. SIP phones are
OK, and the IAX connections are fine. Just the TDM card
has died.

Restarting asterisk doesn't fix it, rather the machine
needs to be rebooted (a Compaq DeskPro 400Mhz Pentium
box), then everything is OK again.

Does anyone have any clue about what might be happening
(or where we could look when this has happened to arrive
at a root cause?)

Background:

The Digium card is on IRQ 11, which is also shared by the
ethernet card and the USB port on this PC.

This PC has no other function except being the asterisk
server, so it is not busy at all.

It has 128M ram, runs RH9, asterisk v1.0 stable. There is
nothing else in the machine unusual.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Cheers,

Lou
