Hi Dmitriy,
I have ported the new OpenH323 and PWLib over to FreeBSD and created
the ports for them. I'm still testing (I only finished them on Friday) so
you are welcome to give them a try and see how it works for you. I have not
yet tried them with Asterisk as I needed to upgrade for another project (GNU
Gatekeeper) but they seem to work on my FreeBSD 5.3 machine running the
gatekeeper. Here is the link to the ports:
http://www.bohica.net/port-openh323.1.17.1.tgz
http://www.bohica.net/port-pwlib_1.9.0.tgz
and if anyone needs it... http://www.bohica.net/port-gnugk.2.2.1.tgz
If you try these ports please let me know if you find any problems.
I want to do some more testing and then send them it to be included in the
official ports tree.
I am thinking about working on porting AMP to FreeBSD so that I can
use the web interface with Asterisk. Is anyone out there already working on
this?

Subject: [Asterisk-bsd] H323 channel driver is not capable to make outgoing
calls
Hello All,
There is a problem with the port of asterisk for FreeBSD. It is not
capable to make outgoing calls using H323 channel driver. There is a
permanent error:

JerJer (the developer of the H323 channel driver) and some other
people say that it happens because of using incorrect versions of Open
H.323 and PWLib. It is necessary to use Open H.323 v1.12.2 and PWLib
v1.5.2 strictly. But FreeBSD port of asterisk depends on
openh323-1.12.0_4 and pwlib-1.5.0_5,1. So there is a version mismatch
:-(
At the same time Open H.323 v1.12.2 and PWLib v1.5.2 cannot be
compiled under FreeBSD. Their developers say that it is necessary to
use the latest snapshots under *BSD. But they are not compatible with
asterisk's H323 channel driver.
Well it looks like a coterie :-( Is there any solution that allows to
make H.323 fully workable under FreeBSD?
