Glenn,
You may consider Thirdlane PBX Manager:
http://www.thirdlane.com/pbxmanager.htm
Thirdlane PBX Manager was created with integration and customization in mind
- we believe that it is the most extensible Asterisk Management GUI
available. It is not just "brandable" by UI customization, but is designed
for extending its functionality using a consistent script based approach,
allowing VARs/OEMs and consultants to offer features beyond those of the
base product.
Other differentiating factors you may find to be important:
1) Thirdlane is feature rich but really lightweight. No database
server is required for operation (one less item to worry about), and you can
always adjust/fix configuration files if it becomes necessary.
2) Since Thirdlane is a Webmin module, the installation process is
very easy and is a matter of uploading an archive file into Webmin (point
and click). Keeping Thirdlane PBX Manager up-to-date is also easy - it can
check whether the updates are available - updating is just a button click.
Upgrades are free for one year after the purchase.
3) All the security/permissions are controlled using Webmin
permissions system which dynamically adjusts web GUI to show only the
"available" functions.
4) Branding can be simply done by replacing a few files (images and
text), as well as creating custom style sheets - no new APIs to learn. All
the text is in external files witch can be customized, translated, etc. GUI
is currently translated into Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Russian, and Spanish - we are looking for more translations (and for
maintainers - the application evolves rapidly and it is really hard to keep
translation entirely up-to-date ).
5) TFTP based phone auto-configuration system covers a few popular
phones (Aastra, Cisco, Linksys, Polycom), but what is more important is that
new phone makes/models can be easily added by integrators without
programming.
6) We offer both a hosted multi-tenant and customer premises
solutions. They have similar functionality, internal structure and a
consistent look and feel. This makes it easier to migrate customers from a
shared hosted to "dedicated" configuration.
7) Thirdlane User Portal (part of PBX Manager) gives users web access
to directory, voice mail, etc and allows them to control how their calls are
handled. User extensions with call screening, recording, and follow-me
functionality can be configured either individually or using a bulk
generation capability.

Best regards,
Alex

Matt,
For what it's worth, I have found Ming at Voiceroute to be very responsive
to questions and I feel he does care about his customers.

Voiceroute looks neat. Unfortunately, there are numerous typos on the site,
which make the company a huge turn-off. If the company doesn't care enough
to check for typing corrections, why do I think they'll care about the
customer base?
