[asterisk-biz] Impressive Asterisk Customer Demos

Hi everyone,

I wanted to see what kind of demonstrations the rest of the community uses
to impress non-technical, potential, and existing customers. We've done:

  - 'click-to-dial' with CRM / mail-client integration

  - integration with custom applications

  - web based queries, Amazon.com ISBN / weather, news

  - text to speech

  - various graphical interfaces

  - flexibility in receiving your phone calls

  - integration with Hylafax and follow me

It's pretty easy to blow away a technical staff with Asterisk's
capabilities, but it seems to be more challenging to get the same reaction
from the C-levels. We find ourselves explaining the business benefits of
open standards, licensing costs, potential integration etc. Standard PBX
functionality is boring; dial an extension, follow me, etc.

Part of the 'problem' is that we're usually dealing with some relatively
affluent, tech-savvy executives. They tend to be a little jaded, and have
high expectations of VoIP in general.

We want to build the "ultimate Asterisk demo" - and my questions to you are:
What would the ultimate Asterisk demo, consist of? What would you like to
see? What would your customers be impressed by? I'm very willing to put up
the presentation for general use after we develop it along with a 'how to'
but as of right now - we need ideas.
