Not only that, it is illegal for them to keep a copy of the CCV/CVV in
any format...  The whole concept of the number was to have something
that cannot (read: should not) be stored in any database, so it cannot
be retrieved via a hack...

They should need the code only once to verify the card - once they know
that the card is valid for the account, the code should not be need any
longer...

Actually, even more interesting is the fact that I've been a customer
for a few years now, and they did not make any statement in a mailing
that these changes were going to be required for all accounts...  I only
saw that once I saw it on the web site...
