Hi, 

I am a researcher at Sun Microsystem's Research labs.  I got tired of
the "company supplied" phone system, so I ported Asterisk to Solaris,
and started running Asterisk at the labs.  I have enough full-time
customers, that I run a "phone company" in my spare time.  I've talked
about some of my Asterisk work at past Astricon(s). (I have copies of
the slides
  <a href=http://www.experimentalstuff.com/Technologies/Asterisk/>here</a>
if anyone is interested).  I've hacked on Meetme, built a manager proxy
into my "Brazil" web framework, wrote an auto-provisioning system for
Polycom phones, and built a myriad of little scripts (usually in TCL)
that make running the phone system easier and more reliable.

Currently I'm beating on Asterisk to see how many simultaneous
calls I can get on a Sun T2000 box (more than you think, but less than
I'd like).
