I'm as much as anything a network management geek, but I have used
Asterisk for parts of my SOHO telephony. I'm attending on behalf of the
OpenNMS project, whose contributors and maintainers have been wanting to
get together with the Asterisk community for some time now. My goal in
attending astridevcon is to work on improvements in res_snmp in support
of better monitoring and historical data collection.

My history with Asterisk (other than having originated what was probably
one of the first 100 *-terminated PSTN calls) is mostly as a casual but
technical user who's not afraid to get his hands dirty. I've maintained
a small installation since 1.0, and own an original IAXy and what would
be a TDM412B if it were bundled that way. I've been diving into the
code lately, but don't expect me to spout function protoypes from
asterisk.h until I've had several beers.
