Using ExternalIVR is on my todo list as I'm looking for a convenient way to
customize IVRs without touching dialplans.
(The main hurdle that kept me from trying before was my fear of missing
documentation).
As I'm running 1.6.2, I'll give it a try if I can apply your patches ...
