There are major changes (even in the 1.2 branch) since then, and 
Asterisk is now up to 1.6.

How did AMD go?  Is it a backport?

Hope your machine is not accessible via the Internet as 1.2.4 is likely 
to have quite a few security vulnerabilities in it.
