[Asterisk-Users] Using Asterisk as a TA?

Not sure that's an accurate subject line, but...
I've started looking at Asterisk as a possibility for a small PBX here.
I'm thinking of an ISDN (BRI) card for connection to the telco, with some
analogue converters (Sipura) for existing phones too.
I'm pretty sure that the functionality I want is all there (and then some!)
but am not clear on one point.
At present, I'm using a 6 line Lucent CyberGear Gold, which provides an ISDN
TA 'built in', which I can use for backup dialup if the DSL goes down for
instance.
Is there any way of making the Asterisk box do something similar? i.e. either:
a) provide dialout with PPP on one of the ISDN B-channels, to an ISP, to
provide IP connectivity to the network as a whole?
b) use a second ISDN card in some way to allow connection of an existing TA?
I hope this is clear....! Thanks...
Bob
