OK this is what I want to to do
I want to use these inexpensive FRS/GMRS  2 way radios
like Motorola Talkbout line series

as extensions on my asterisk pbx

I do not realy want staff to make out going calls,
(would be nice, but i dont see any with dtmf keypads)
but I want to stay in touch with them and let them get voice mails, and
take inbound calls from the pbx...
when they are a distance from the office think tourist recreational area..:)

the sn-920 do give the range but the price point & industrial casing is
lacking
