Yes, most Asterisk installations will be configured similarly.

You have two choices ...

1) Do some reading and learn, then when you have specific questions,
ask again here.

2) Get yourself a Mac (vintage junk iMac will be good enough),
download the Asterisk installation package for MacOSX and the Asterisk
Assistants for MacOSX, then use those tools to get started quick and
easy without prior learning.
