[Asterisk-Users] Post Install Log Errors

Greetings,

I've just installed Asterisk RC2 on a new RedHat 9 box (fully patched).

The build and install went fine, but after starting Asterisk, I get the 
following messages in /var/log/asterisk/messages. Restarting Asterisk 
produces the same errors:

Sep  9 15:15:55 WARNING[1076231168]: Unable to get our IP address, Skinny 
disabled
Sep  9 15:15:55 WARNING[1097448240]: Read error on sound device: Resource 
temporarily unavailable
Sep  9 15:15:55 NOTICE[1082575664]: Request to schedule in the past?!?!

As far as the IP address goes, the box is not behind a firewall and has a
legitimate IP, so I'm not sure what the problem is with Skinny--the
hostname resolves, I can ssh to the box from outside, pull webpages from
it, etc..

The sound card (a soundblaster ISA Awe 64, PNP) is available and working,
so the cause sound error is unclear.

The last error message I have no idea about.

Googling has produced nothing useful.
