yes, you can control how many channels you want to be recognized by asterisk in the config files.

Thanks so much for posting the settings. I will share ours when we have it worked. Also, do you know how to setup fractional E1 mode, e.g. not all of channels in E1 are utilized. I assume we just need to define the usable channel ranges in zaptel.conf, right.

compiling Asterisk-MFCR2 referencing chan_oss, I edited a Makefile for the compile to continue, I assumed that you have a running Asterisk OpenR2 installation, you need to adjust ANI and DNIS its default to 4 for my install, compiled working Asterisk w/OpenR2 for CentOS5 and Fedora10.
