[asterisk-dev] Use of restart_monitor function in chan_sip module

Hi

Does anyone knows the use of callingrestart_monitor() function when 
making a sip call.
restart_monitor() function is getting called from sip_request_call() 
function, I am not understanding the purpose of calling the function there.

Please help me on this.
