What does 'open the architecture' mean? When the product ships, everyone will know what parts are on the board, and what functionality they provide. All the software and drivers for the product are open source (Linux kernel, Zaptel, Asterisk etc.) unless someone chooses to use commercially licensed Asterisk for a specific variation of the product.
