You are assuming too many things here. This firmware as I see it is is what
Yuxin has loaded onto these boxes.

To repeat what I said BroadTel is selling these readymade boxes

BroadTel did not mention that they have made their own firmware for this
box.
If that is the case I would be wary of buying such units as I am not sure
if this is compatible with all the SIP Implementations, let alone Asterisk.
I would also be concerned if Broadtel has all the wherewithal to Quality
Assure the stuff at the level a Bulk manufacturer in China does.

Sometimes however the firmware and availability and compatibilty make a
slightly higher price tag well worth the cost!

Price is not always the most important factor unless you like dealing
withg problems. If two companies sell the same product however one
writes their own firmware , updates it and makes it available on their
web site, that is a value added service.

Of course that firmware may not load no another device which may even be
from the same OEM, due to a flag being set or something of the like.
