I fully agree with but, if I'm not mistaken (I don't have any experience or
testimony confirming this), using list-based subscriptions, you don't need
to reboot your sip phone when adding or removing an entry within your list.

That feature is very attractive to me, specifically when you have a lot of
phones, each subscribing to a couple of extension states.

But for a receptionnist phone, I agree that software based tools are more
promising.
