Jason,
Thanks for that, but I am still getting an error. I run rpmbuild using this command
rpmbuild --bb ~/localrpms/SPECS/dahdi-linux-kmod.spec --target=i686 --define "kversion `uname -r`"
but it fails with this error message.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-128.el5-i686'

You do not appear to have the sources for the 2.6.18-128.el5xen kernel installed.
make: *** [modules] Error 1
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.78040 (%build)
I have installed the devel packages
rpm -qa | grep kernel-.*devel
kernel-xen-devel-2.6.18-128.el5
kernel-PAE-devel-2.6.18-128.el5
kernel-devel-2.6.18-128.el5
Is there something else I can do?
Steve Hindmarch

Add a --target=i686 to your rpmbuild line.
