That is what I'd expect too, but, no...

    Mobile->Settings->CLID Presentation-> Supression or Invocation

it makes no difference. (and yes - I do reboot:-) When I move the SIM
to a phone, it works well...

I have the latest firmware: 

    Firmware Version: 	 Fri Sep 5 09:02:30 2008

And by the why a current 1.4 Asterisk, just updatdet to .23.2.
