Sorry to hijack your memeo but do  you mostly use SmartWare 5.X or 4.X ?
I could easily configure a 4.X box but was a bit lost to configure a 5.3 box
to work with Asterisk (I had to remove secret=mysecret in
/etc/asterisk/sip.conf)
