[asterisk-users] TrixBox problem...

Hey Everyone,

Here’s an email I received from a client who has a trixbox system that has contracted with me for some custom dialplan programming.

While I was away at a conference on Tuesday, our server crashed same as before (it was “responsive” to GUI interface but no calls could go in/out). Our staff rebooted it Wednesday morning then I got a call this morning that the phones were very staticky so they rebooted again and that resolved the issues.

I’m ready to resort to a nightly Cron reboot at 4am but that’s just avoiding the underlying problem… would like to figure out why it’s happening in the first place.

Anyone else seem to have experienced a similar problem?

The clients system is a supermicro P4 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, 250gb hard drive. The client is using eyebeam softphones, and is using sip trunking to his phone companies services over a T1 line. This is the second time he has called telling me that the system is locking up, but apache seems to still work, the gui seems to still work, it just simply doesn’t route calls. After they reboot everything is fine. However, as noted above, they seem to have to reboot the system an awful lot lately.
