Tony tried Zaptel 1.2.26, and I was at 1.2.25, both were failing to 
pickup. I just downgraded to 1.2.24 and the system is now picking up 
incoming calls. Asterisk remained at 1.2.28.

 From the Changelog file I found a possibly relevant change...
