Out of curiosity, what version of Asterisk are you running? Also, are 
you using the ackcall option in agents.conf?

The reason I ask is that there was an issue similar to this involving 
the ackcall option that was fixed in SVN revision 81120. If you are 
running a version of Asterisk prior to this revision and using ackcall, 
I'd suggest upgrading and seeing if the issue still exists.
