[asterisk-users] su - postgres -bash-3.00$

I'm trying to install Asterisk billing server and when I put in su - postgres I get this response instead of the password response.
-bash-3.00$
-bash-3.00$
-bash-3.00$ 

Anyone seen this before? I'm using Fedora core 4 and have the same on a local machine that works fine.
