[asterisk-users] Confused about SIP Realtime Updates

I'm confused about SIP realtime updates. If I make a database change, and then do a "sip prune realtime peer <peer>", I can see Asterisk query the database, and retrieve the updated information. However, it still uses the old values. What's up with that?
 
If I do a "reload", Asterisk queries the database and this time uses the new values.
 
I have rtcachefriensd=yes in sip.conf.
