Then they need to do a blind transfer.

Blind (Soft button)
Extensions or phone number to transfer too

Depending on your digit map for the Polycom, you may have to press 
something after that.

My digit map matches against 4 digit extensions that we use internally, 
7 and 10 digit number starting with a 9 are also matched.
