[asterisk-users] Has anyone programmed their own user\client software for asterisk?

Hey guys

I'm on a task of creating a user\client software, for asterisk. My research
led me to asterisk.org/doxygen, really highlights the functions to be used,
but how to use them is what I'm interested in.

If there's anyone out there who knows and can offer a hint, documentation,
insight, please do.
