Hi all, I am trying to add a TigerJet usb adapter to my asterisk
installation

I have the 1.2.4 asterisk bristuffed version, holding two zaphfc (ISDN)
cards

If I connect the TigerJet adapter to my linux box (Suse 10) i see:

Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 06e6:831c Tiger Jet Network, Inc.
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

and in warning log:

Feb 22 15:46:12 asterisk01 kernel: zaptel: module not supported by Novell,
setting U taint flag.
Feb 22 15:46:12 asterisk01 kernel: wcusb: module not supported by Novell,
setting U taint flag.
Feb 22 15:46:12 asterisk01 kernel: Wildcard USB FXS Interface driver
registered

So everything seems to be OK.

Then I modify to the /etc/zaptel.conf file:

# hfc-s pci a span definition
# most of the values should be bogus because we are not really zaptel
loadzone=it
defaultzone=it

span=1,1,3,ccs,ami
bchan=1-2
dchan=3

span=2,1,3,ccs,ami
bchan=4-5
dchan=6

# fxsks=7
fxoks=7

according to
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-pagehistory.php?page=Asterisk+config+zaptel.conf&diff=13
 I think that I should consider this card as
a Wildcard S100U (hence the fxoks line)

but if I type ztcfg -vvv i see :

SPAN 1: CCS/ AMI Build-out: 399-533 feet (DSX-1)
SPAN 2: CCS/ AMI Build-out: 399-533 feet (DSX-1)

Channel map:

Channel 01: Clear channel (Default) (Slaves: 01)
Channel 02: Clear channel (Default) (Slaves: 02)
Channel 03: D-channel (Default) (Slaves: 03)
Channel 04: Clear channel (Default) (Slaves: 04)
Channel 05: Clear channel (Default) (Slaves: 05)
Channel 06: D-channel (Default) (Slaves: 06)
Channel 07: FXO Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 07)

7 channels configured.

Changing signalling on channel 7 from Clear channel to FXO Kewlstart
ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 7: Invalid argument (22)
Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling
and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling?

nothing changes if I modify fxoks=7 to fxsks=7. What am I doing wrong ?
does exist any incompatibilty between bristuff and S100U ?

Thanks in advance,

Andrea
