First off, make sure you load the two modules in the same order each
time. Otherwise the channels will move.

For starters, try http://tzafrir.org.il/genzaptelconf , which can save
you the manual work of reading /proc/zaptel/* and getting the right
numbers in the right place.

The span definitions will probably be wrong, though
