yes! it works very well now, I used this to re-compile php with pcntl:

./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql
--with-mysql-sock=/tmp --with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql/ --with-zlib --with-gd
--enable-pcntl
