He is probably using 2.6.14 in which you can opt for 100hz (servers),
250hz (mixed) and 1000hz (desktops).

I discussed this with Kevin when the 2.6.14 series started, have a look
in the archives.

CVS ztdummy certainly compiles correctly with 100hz.
