I've had absolutely no voice quality complaints with GSM, but I have 
complaints every time I try to use iLBC.  I'm currently using g729 and so far 
so good.

LPC10 is great for filesize but the audio is... well.. "Mr. Roboto" puts it 
succinctly.  :-)
