[Asterisk-Users] Background AGI

Hello. I'm wondering if it's possible to have an AGI script run in the
background of a normal call (not a MeetMe room).

What I'm ultimately trying to achieve is that an ACD agent on a SIP
extension (or any other technology for that matter) is able to use DTMF
codes to do things like request Supervisor assistance. For example, if an
ACD call is in progress and the agent hits *6 (or whatever), an AGI script
can then send both legs of the call to a MeetMe room and originate a call to
a Supervisor which connects to the MeetMe room.

Perhaps this would be better implemented as a "feature" (features.conf??).

Cheers
Mick
