[Asterisk-Users] channel numbering

Hi.

Does anybody know if channels in various spans (in TE410, for example) must be
contiguous, this way.....

span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
bchan=1-15
dchan=16
bchan=17-31

span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=32-55  # 1-23
dchan=56

Or can I jump to channel 101 in span 2, this way?

span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
bchan=1-15
dchan=16
bchan=17-31

span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=101-123  # 1-23
dchan=124

I just want to make it easy to associate channels with my internal extensions.
