[Asterisk-Users] How to use a codec depending on call type ?

Hi list,

I'm new with asterisk PBX and try to do what is described below :


    A					B

                                 -------- Asterisk
                                 |
PhoneA1 ---     Internet         -------- Phone B1
          |--------------------- |
PhoneA2 ---                      -------- Phone B2


Phones from both lans register in Asterisk.

I 'd like that phones on both sides use a G711 (alaw or ulaw) codec for
a LAN call and GSM for WAN calls.

example :

A1 <-> A2  G711
B1 <-> B2  G711
A1 <-> B2  GSM


I've no idea how to configure conf files to do that.

I've browsed the lists, google, voip-info wiki and I've found no
information about how to do that.


Has anyone an idea ?
