[Asterisk-Users] weird DTMF problem

hi all,

I got into a weird dtmf problem today - I am receiving calls from a
cisco pstn gw, going through a mera sip proxy as I am assuming from
SIP messages.

i want to use the line for ivr, and thus need dtmf recognition form
the sip channel to my asterisk. my asterisk is configured with
dtmfmode=rfc2833 and the cisco gw as I am being told by my provider is
set to dtmf-relay rtp-nte.

the thing is - pstn calls get in, and just the first dtmf digit passed
is recognized by my asterisk box, everything else dialled by a pstn
phone(and presumably passed with dtmf) is not recognized.

so the user is just able to make a single choico from the ivr menu and
nothing more -  entered numbers are not recognized except for the
first digit passed to the ivr.

pls provide any help if anyone has any ideas..
