Perhaps we should take the discussion to asterisk-dev - but I would also 
like to see a basic DNS lookup capability added.

I did ask Mark about "open source" for the IAXY, but I understand that the 
development environment does not lend itself to that.

Code space on the IAXY is limited; but I can't help thinking it must be 
possible to squeeze in a basic "A" record query that acts on the first 
returned record.
