I think you are referring to the TDM400P card because that requires 
external power. The X100P, T100P, and TE405P do not require power 
separate from the PCI bus. I presume that the TE410P does not require 
power. Also, the TDM400P only requires power for FXS ports because of 
ring voltage generation. I have used the TDM400P (TDM04B) without 
external power when it only had FXO modules installed.

The Supermicro board is an excellent board as are all the Supermicro 
boards I am using.
