[Asterisk-Users] asterisk port problem?

Hi all,

As I mentioned in a previous email, I am getting an error
(chan_sip.c: 7533 cant handle request) and can't register any client
with asterisk.I ran the netstat command (see below)at the shell
prompt to see what ports were listening and noted that the status of
the asterisks port were not set to listening or associated with my
local address.

I have set the 'bindaddr' variable in the sip.conf file to my local
address i.e. 172.16.3.15. As I'm new to asterisk and relatively new
to linux, I don't know what the problem could possibly be or whether
the ports even have anything to do with it?....Does anybody have any
suggestions?
